The main role of vitamin D3 is to promote proper calcium assimilation and maintain normal calcium levels.
Its cholecalciferol form is the one produced by our body when our skin is exposed to the sun.
Vitamin D3 is essential to forming and maintaining strong bones and normal teeth, but it is also involved in our body’s defence mechanisms. It therefore actively contributes to our natural resistance.
The most common cause of a vitamin D deficiency is the overly low synthesis of vitamin D by the skin due to insufficient sun exposure caused by seasonal variations and a lack of outdoor activities. This is why supplementation is highly recommended as the winter season approaches.
Vitamin B9 contributes:
