Bactigyn® Vaginal Ovules is a medical device formulated with Lactobacillus rhamnosus LRH020 tyndallized, lactic acid, sodium hyaluronate, essential oils of tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) and white thyme, and galactoarabinane. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of vaginal infections (vaginitis, bacterial vaginosis, and yeast infections) and their recurrence.

It can be used in cases of vaginal flora imbalance caused by medical treatments (e.g., antibiotics, chemotherapy) or hormonal disturbances.

Bactigyn® Vaginal Ovules promotes the restoration of the vaginal ecosystem, helps prevent and relieve vaginal dryness, and alleviates symptoms of irritation, such as itching, redness, burning, swelling, and pain.

Tyndallization

Tyndallization is a sterilization process that involves a series of intermittent heatings at a relatively low temperature (60°C), separated by rest periods at room temperature. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE:

Bactigyn® suppositories are intended for all women from 18 years of age, except during pregnancy and breastfeeding, for which use has not been tested.
The use with other concurrent local treatments is not recommended.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage of one suppository per day.

Store at a temperature below 25°C

Directions for Use and Dosage

Bactigyn® suppositories are presented in the form of suppositories to be inserted into the vagina in the evening, according to the instructions of the treating physician:

  • Acute treatment of bacterial vaginosis: 7 consecutive days in cases of moderate symptoms or 10 days if symptoms persist
  • Acute treatment of bacterial vaginosis: 7 consecutive days in the event of moderate symptoms, or 10 days if symptoms persist
  • Prophylaxis (if recurrence of yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis): 7 consecutive days, once a month, for 4 to 6 months
  • Post-treatment prevention: 7 consecutive days after local or oral antibiotic or antifungal treatment
